The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however, this is something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot vacuum cleaner reviews, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
