It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it came to carpets or rug.

Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary depending on the frequency you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush will give you a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess.
